PlayStation -S players discuss their rarest platinum trophies

Summary

  • PlayStation trophies help make gaming fun, although not every platinum is created equally.

  • Gamers took to Reddit and discussed the rarest platinum they have in their virtual trophy cases.

  • Among the highlights are Devil May Cry 5, GTA IV on PS3 and, of course, Wolfenstein.

It may be hard to believe, but once there was PlayStation trophies nothing. Only in 2008 were PlayStation trophies added to the PS3, and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was the very first Platinagameners who could chase. In the time since then, trophies have become a staple, with more difficult to reach than others.

Of course, not every game has a complicated list of trophies (cough, Tomb Raider IV-Vi remastered), with some super easy to obtain. But for those who have put it out, the Platinatrophy is an honorary sign. And so gamers bend their rarest performance to Reddit.

Saddle, partner. You stand up for a long drive with this one.

How rare can you go?

Immediately from the RIP, a gamer noted that both Killzone Shadow Fall (0.1% rarity) and Devil May 5 (0.3%) and their rarest titles cry. A launch game, Shadow Fall, has a number of pretty hard trophies, including a gold with several players that requires top 1,000,000 points. In the meantime, Devil May Cry has players who have to complete the game on the Hell and Hell mode, plus the completion of the infamous bloody palace with every character.

On the car side of the great theft of things, a player shared that IV on PS3 has a rarity of 0.97%. The many – and we mean a lot – multiplayer trophies are probably a barrier for most gamers. Get it out of the Dominic Allen from Thegamer if you don’t believe it.

In an interesting turn, one gamer has the platinum of UFC 5, which has an oddity of 0.4%. Another has the FIFA 23 -Platina, with a rarity of 0.1%. It is not often that you think of sports titles such as those with hard trophy lists, but you learn new things every day.

Of course we would fail if we did not give props to the gamers who bent their Wolfenstein Platinums. “Nobody understands Mein Leben’s insanity until they try,” wrote a player in response. For those from the loop, Mein Leben requires that players beat the game on the equivalent of “Ultra Hard” without checkpoints and with Permadeath. Yes, that is a serious effort.

Regardless of what your rarest platinum trophy is, one thing is certain – gaming is much better with trophies.
