Nine people injured after the landing of Delta plane is overtopled on Toronto Airport

At least nine people were injured on Monday after an airplane plane was involved in a crash in landing on Toronto Pearson International Airport, officials said.

The airport said it was aware of ‘an incident in landing’, involving the Delta Jet, who arrived from Minneapolis.

Staff resources responded to the scene and all passengers and crew members are justified, the airport said in a post on social media.

The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that Delta Air Lines Flight 4819, which was operated by Endeavor Air, crashed while he landed in Toronto around 2.45 pm.

A total of 80 people were on the plane, a CRJ-900, said the FAA. It did not indicate how many crew members were and how many passengers were.

Delta is said to be “aware of reports” of the flight incident and works to confirm details.

One of the wounded people was in a critical condition and was flown to a nearby trauma center, said Lawrence Saindon, a chief inspector for Peel Regional Paramedic Services.

Another among the wounded, a child, was taken by ambulance to a hospital in the center of Toronto, said Saindon.

The extent of the other injuries was unclear, but it was not assumed that it was fatal victims, according to the Association of Stewardessen Union, which placed on social media that it responded to the event.

Toronto Pearson is under a basic stop “because of an emergency”, which means that all departure and arrivals are being canceled for the time being, according to the status of the National Airspace Systems of the FAA.

Video who was placed on social media by someone who said they were fleeing shows the Delta plane overlaped on the runway and steaming while passengers seem to evacuate.

“We just landed. Our plane crashed. It’s upside down,” said the person who took the video. He noticed in the video that “most people seem to be in order” and that passengers came off the plane.

Canada’s transport Safety Board will investigate the incident, according to the FAA.
