MTG players ask which actor has the most universes that are outside the cards

Summary

  • No actor has more than two characters, but many of them have that, including Catherine Tate, Sylvester McCoy, Brad Dourf and Christopher Lee.

  • Karen Gillan and Laura Bailey can surpass the current record holders with upcoming Marvel and Final Fantasy Crossovers.

  • Where does David Tennant fit in all this?

Magic: The meeting has spent in recent years picking up an impressive selection of third -party crossovers, with everything from Fortnite to Warhammer 40,000 popping up in the game.

With so many characters under the belt, the MTG community now asks a rather interesting question: which actor did the most characters have their own cards in MTG get? The answer is not that easy when it can seem first.

Reddit User /U /Arcades1212 first asked the question about the MagictCG Subreddit, by pointing out the Scottish actor Sylvester McCoy has had two cards: the seventh doctor of the Doctor Who Commander Decks, and also Radagast de Brown, which he played in the Hobbit. However, as commentators have noticed, he is hardly the only one.

No one has more than two

Another large doctor who actor also has an equal amount of cards. Donna Noble of course also appeared in the Doctor Who -Decks, but Catherine Tate also played the face of one of the Warhammer 40,000 decks, Inquisitor Greyfax, in the 2019 Audio Drama Boxset.

Although no actor has more than two cards so far, there are many more there. Brad Dourif and Christopher Lee also have two each, with the first Chucky (seen in the game Secret Lair Drop of the Child) and the Lord of the Rings’ Grima Wormtongue, and the last one played Saruman and Dracula, who appeared in a hunterjacht Packing map for Innistrad: Crimson Vow in 2021.

The Transformers maps of the Brothers War gave us Optimus Prime and Megatron, played by Peter Cullen and Frank Welker. They both also appeared in the Saturday morning Dungeons & Dragons sign movies such as Venger and Uni The Unicorn. Venger appeared on the cover of the newest Dungeon Masters’ Guide, and therefore also in the D&D: An Exhbition of Adventure Secret Lair Drop, and Uni the Unicorn in the much previous D&D drop on Saturday morning.

Some in the Reddit -Thread mention David Tennant, while playing the tenth doctor and the fourteenth doctor for 14 years. However, they are both incarnations of the same character, so whether this counts is completely up to you.

Karen Gillan and Laura Bailey are the ones to look at

Like most, Karen Gillan already has two cards with amy pounds, and her earlier that the role of a Sibylline -Waarzegger. However, she also gets an incredibly different card in the near future, with a great chance of the upcoming Marvel crossovers that eventually give us a Nebula card, which she plays in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As more crossovers launch, we probably see this list shooting up, with Laura Bailey as a clear competition. This year the release of the Final Fantasy and Spider-Man Crossover Sets will see what Laura Bailey could see well starting as both the voice of Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man as Serah Farron in Final Fantasy 13. She is already in Magic Twice, as Chun-Li from Street Fighter and Magic’s own Chandra, who places her well in front of someone else.
