Cultus -like group linked to several murders is arrested in Maryland

The leader of a culture -like group that is linked to several murders, including the fatal shooting of a Border Patrol officer in Vermont last month, was arrested in Maryland on accusation of violation and other crimes, the authorities said Monday.

Jack Lasota, 34, who has embraced ‘Ziz’ and embraced the dangers of artificial intelligence, was taken into custody in Frostburg on Sunday, a rural area about halfway between Pittsburgh and Washington, DC, said the State Police of Maryland, said in an explanation.

Lasota, from Berkeley, California, is also confronted with a firearm tax and hinders and hinders, according to the statement. Two other people – Michelle Zajko, 32, from Media, Pennsylvania and Daniel Blank, 26, from Sacramento, California – were arrested for similar charges.

All three were held in a local prison, the State Police said. It was not immediately clear whether they have lawyers to speak on their behalf.

The statement of the State Police, which has not provided any additional details about the charges, noted that the agency is working with the federal law enforcement and the Allegany County law firm in an ongoing investigation.

Lasota, a computer programmer who was previously associated with an organization established in Berkeley that wants to use mathematical and logical principles to improve the world, would have died in August 2022 in a boot accident, according to a short death advertisement that appeared in her hometown newspaper in Alaska.

But since then, Lasota, who identifies himself as a woman, and her employees are linked to a series of violent attacks, including a stabbing from 2022 that an 80-year-old man partially blindly left. That victim was killed last month in a murder that prosecutors said that he had meant to prevent him from being testified in the process that linked the first attack that starts this spring.

Lasota has not been charged with that murder, but the authorities found her on the scene of the attack in 2022, only three months after she supposedly died, according to an e -mail who was an officer of justice to one of Lasota’s lawyers was sent at that time.

In January 2023 the parents of Michelle Zajko – the woman who was arrested on Sunday – were found dead in their house in Pennsylvania. Both were deadly shot. Lasota was accused of obstructing the investigation into their death and was released from prison after he had posted $ 10,000 bail.

A bank order for the Lasota arrest was issued after it did not appear before the court. Her resident was unknown as recently as earlier this month.

Zajko was taken into custody in connection with the killing of her parents, but she was later released and was not charged in their death.

Another follower of lasotas – German National Ophelia Bauckholt – was dodelized last month in an exchange of gunfire with border patrol agents in Vermont. The shooting took place during a traffic stop, when another person who rode with Backhault, pulled a gun and shot on one of the agents, according to federal prosecutors.

Bauckholt and Grenspatrouille agent David Maland were deadly shot in the Gunbattle. According to an FBI statement, Bauckholt was shot down after she had reached a firearm.

The circumstances of the shooting remain in research and the person who rides with Bauckholt, Teresa Youngblut, has not guilty of the charges of firearms.

Shortly after the shooting, the federal authorities sent a warning to ask firearm dealers in Vermont for their help in identifying any purchases by Michelle Zajko, who identifies the warning as a person interested in Maland’s fatal shooting.
