On the way to the NFL season, there are quite a few needs for the Buffalo accounts to tackle. They could use a different attacking playmaker, but many of their needs come to the defensive side of football.
One of the biggest needs will be to introduce more help in the cornerback position.
During the 2024 season there were clear gaps in the secondary of the Bills. Rasul Douglas will hit the free desk and probably seems to leave Buffalo. The Front Office will have to replace it and add talent on top of who they bring in to replace Douglas.
With that in mind an intriguing cornerback from an AFC East -Rival can be very logical.
Brandon Ray van Bufferdown suggested that the bills could look to steal Jonathan Jones from the New England Patriots.
“We won’t lie, it was a bit of a rough 2024 for Jonathan Jones. He gave up seven touchdowns and did not include an interception in two seasons,” Ray wrote.
“There is no excusation of Jones’s performance last season, but the patriots were generally a mess. There was no identity and they had no pass -hastily helping the secondary. Depending on whether or not Jones returns to the At least he would do that, a solid veteran to offer a competition for the training camp and to push the younger boys to perform. “
Jones would not be the solution to Buffalo’s problems at Cornerback. However, he could help close the gap, assuming that the bills went out and also added a better defensive back.
During the NFL season 2024 with the Patriots, Jones finally played in 17 games. He picked up 58 total tackles to join two forced junk and six defended passes.
At the age of 31 he would be a cheaper target of Free Office for Buffalo. Again, there should be more movements in the cornerback position, but Jones would be worth taking a kite.
