Fans focused on Jamie Carragher for what he said during the incident.

Jamie Carragher was beaten by fans after he did not succeed in ‘calling in a Liverpool player’ for what he did against Wolves.

Liverpool defeated Wolves 2-1 when Arne Slot’s side returned to the win column after their 2-2 draw on Everton in midweek.

Luis Diaz opened the score before Mohamed Salah doubled the lead from his side of the place.

Matheus Cunha reduced the deficit with a stunning attack.

Just before Wolves scored their goal, Liverpool received a second penalty after the assumed mistake by Emmanuel Aggbadou on Diogo Jota.

Simon Hooper pointed out at the place, but his decision was destroyed by VAR after an assessment.

At Sky Sports Commentary, Carragher insisted that there was a light touch, which apparently defended Jota’s decision to fall on the ground.

His comments, however, have angry with social media supporters because they believe that the Liverpool -legend Jotas should have called ‘dive’.

Others also referred to his ‘bias’ to his old side and think he would have had a different reaction if it was a player than another team.

One X user wrote: “Jamie Charragher does not even try to hide his bias … that is the most obvious dip when it is viewed and he says:” Jota has been smart there “. Let another team be there and he was saying how shameful the player is. “

A second said: “From the very first repetition it was a clear dive, but Carragher tried to convince you all that there was enough contact.”

A third added: “Why doesn’t Jamie Carragher shout that dive instead of saying that there is not much in it?

A fourth shouted: “Carragher should not be comms for the Liverpool game …. can’t just let himself say what everyone thinks with eyes … he dived.”

A fifth noticed: “That is a dive. Just call it a dive instead of being ‘smart’ pathetic from CARRIJFHER.”

Another smell: “If that was another club that would try to lock him up. One of the most blatant attempts to mislead an official I have ever seen.”

Rio Ferdinand also shared his views on Jota when he wondered why he had not shown a yellow card.

“The dive gets worse on the repetitions …”, he wrote on X. “shouldn’t be booked for that anymore?”
